One of my favorite energy boosting tips is to join up with another person. It's amazing how motivated and energetic you can feel just by getting a partner to help you get moving. Working with another often overcomes that feeling of just wanting to sit around and can also help increase the accountability factor.
Another not-to-be-overlooked benefit is the happiness you can get just be being with another person. Strengthening social bonds, having an outlet for ideas and feelings, and general chatter can help alleviate stress and deepen relationships.
This can work in a few ways:
- Monday, you and a partner can clean your house; Tuesday, work on the partner's. Having another pair of hands gets the job done faster you know that if there's someone else cleaning up your house you won't be tempted to slack off.
- If you're sitting at your desk feeling sluggish and not at all like working, figure out if there's something you could be working on with a partner or a colleague. Call them up and see if you can do that. You may find you get a burst of productivity.
- You've probably heard it a hundred times, but having a partner works really well with going to the gym or beginning a food plan. it can be a great motivator to know someone else is waiting for you or relying on you.
Are there any other ways you have used a partner to help get you going? Tell me about it!
